Van Life Campsites in Lincolnshire

Be the first to list a site here

Lincolnshire is England's second largest county and one of its most overlooked for van life. The Lincolnshire Wolds — the northernmost chalk hills in England — are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with gentle dale country, excellent walking, and farm camping that's as good as anything in more celebrated counties at a fraction of the price.

The Lincolnshire coast between Mablethorpe and Skegness has a distinctly old-fashioned English seaside character — caravans, amusement arcades, and huge sandy beaches with enormous tides. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but the beach between Sutton on Sea and Chapel St Leonards is genuinely excellent and quiet outside school holidays.

The Lincolnshire Fens to the west and south are unique: vast, flat, reclaimed agricultural land with huge skies and a profound sense of stillness. Farm camping here is mainly aimed at birdwatchers visiting the Wash or the RSPB reserves at Frampton and Freiston.

Yes — the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB has several farm sites that welcome vans, particularly around Market Rasen and Louth. Often significantly cheaper than equivalent sites in the Peak District or Yorkshire.
