Van Life Campsites in Anglesey
Anglesey (Ynys Mรดn) is connected to mainland Wales by the Menai Strait โ two bridges give access to an island with an exceptional 200km coastal path, some of Wales's best beaches, and a gentler, more pastoral character than the Snowdonian mountains visible across the water.
The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path is arguably the finest coastal walking circuit in Wales, and farm sites positioned along it allow van lifers to walk sections day by day. Newborough Forest โ a large Forestry Wales plantation above Newborough Warren and beach โ has one of Wales's finest natural beaches in the dunes and a campsite that welcomes vans.
Holy Island on Anglesey's west coast has the most dramatic scenery: South Stack lighthouse on its sea-cliff perch, the bouldering mecca of Holyhead Mountain, and the pilgrimage church on the summit. Several farm sites on Holy Island are among the most atmospheric on Anglesey.
