Van Life Campsites in Ceredigion
Ceredigion faces the open Atlantic along Cardigan Bay — one of Europe's most important dolphin habitats. The bottlenose dolphins here are resident year-round and regularly visible from the coast path near Aberystwyth and from the headlands around New Quay. Farm sites along the coast put van lifers within minutes of some of the finest marine wildlife watching in the UK.
The Ceredigion Coast Path runs the full length of the county's coastline from Ynyslas to Cardigan, passing through New Quay, Aberaeron, and several isolated coves accessible only on foot. Farm sites near the path are popular with walkers and van lifers alike.
Inland Ceredigion rises into the Cambrian Mountains — remote, boggy, and spectacular in a way that's entirely different from the coastal character. The headwaters of the Teifi and Ystwyth rivers are excellent for fly fishing, and the Red Kite feeding station at Nant yr Arian near Aberystwyth is one of Wales's most remarkable wildlife experiences.

New Quay is the best base for dolphin watching — boat trips run from the harbour and the creatures are often visible from the shore. Coastal farm sites here book up in summer. The inland Cambrian Mountain roads can be rough for larger vans.
