County Fermanagh is Northern Ireland's lakeland county — dominated by the Upper and Lower Lough Erne system that covers a third of the county's total area. The combination of lake, island, and bog gives Fermanagh a distinctly Irish character and makes it one of the best places in the UK for kayaking and wild swimming from a van base.

Marble Arch Caves — a UNESCO Global Geopark — are among the finest show caves in Europe, carved through the Cuilcagh Mountain limestone plateau. Cuilcagh itself is reached via the famous "Stairway to Heaven" boardwalk trail and gives panoramic views over the county's lakes and low hills.

Fermanagh's farm sites are generally excellent value — some of the cheapest in the UK with very welcoming hosts. The county is a major fishing destination (coarse and game fishing on the Erne system) and farm sites often have access to private riverbank or lough shore.
