Van Life Campsites in Shropshire
Shropshire is England's largest inland county and has a van life offer that far exceeds its profile. The Shropshire Hills AONB centres on the Long Mynd — an ancient moorland plateau rising above Church Stretton — with the jagged Stiperstones ridge to the west and Wenlock Edge to the east. Farm sites here are excellent and affordable.
The county is deeply rural and largely unpressured by tourism. Market towns like Ludlow (often voted England's finest food town), Bishops Castle, and Clun have a genuine unhurried quality. Farm camping near Ludlow puts you within walking distance of the castle and the town's remarkable food scene.
The southern edge of the county around Clun and the Clun Valley is particularly beautiful — rolling pastoral country with ancient hillforts on every ridge. Offa's Dyke National Trail enters Wales near Knighton just over the border, and farm sites on the Shropshire side are popular with walkers.

The Long Mynd plateau road (the Burway) is very steep and narrow — not recommended for vans over 6m. Use farm sites in the Church Stretton valley as a base and walk or cycle up.
